Enjoy breakfast together, spend time on the terrace and walk to the beach: the Amalia Beletage in Amalia House can accommodate up to four people in Karystos on southern -Euboea (Evia), Greece. The holiday flat is on the upper floor of a restored stone house in a quiet side street near Amalia- Square.
With two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms, it is ideal for families or two couples who are friends and wish to combine time together with privacy.
Two bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms
Both bedrooms have a double bed and are separate from the living area. This means that some guests can retreat to their rooms whilst others are still sitting together or planning the next day of their holiday.
Two separate bathrooms make for a comfortable stay for four: they can be used independently of one another, leaving more time in the morning for breakfast together or an early trip to the beach.
Open-plan kitchen-diner with dining area and sofa corner
The kitchen-diner is the heart of the holiday flat. In the fully equipped kitchen, you can cook for yourself and enjoy your meals at the dining area. Worktops and storage space provide ample room even for longer stays.
A cosy sofa area with a TV completes the living area. Streaming-Accounts for Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+ are available for a film night or a quick break.
Large terrace opening onto the garden
The large terrace, which faces the garden, offers additional outdoor space. Here you can have breakfast, enjoy a meal together or relax after a day out.
Thanks to its location overlooking the garden, you can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere whilst still staying right in the heart of Karystos. The terrace is therefore a private retreat between trips to the beach and exploring the town.
Location on the upper floor
The Amalia Beletage is on the upper floor and is accessed via a flight of stairs. The flat is therefore suitable for guests who have no difficulty climbing stairs.
Centrally located and close to the beach in Karystos
From Amalia House, you can easily reach cafés, bakeries, shops and harbour restaurants on foot. The beaches of Karystos are also within walking distance. You therefore don’t need a car for shopping, dining out or days at the beach.
Karystos, in the south of Euboea, combines a lively harbour town with beaches and a mountainous setting. The Amalia Beletage offers you a centrally located accommodation with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and plenty of space on its own terrace.

Amalia is perfectly located. Only one hundred meters to reach shops, restaurant and sea side. The building was really well refurbished with high quality items. The kitchen fully equipped. Beds are top confortable. The garden is wonderfully perfumed by the night blossoms. Philip is a nice host. An excellent spot to discover Karistos. I don't find any bad to say!
Our stay at the Amalia house was great in all ways. Spacious, clean, well equiped, well situated, great airco, a bathroom for each room, a huge terrace… Good and easy communication with the gentle owners. Perfect for a smooth start of our holidays.
This apartment was the perfect place to stay in Karystos. The location, just 2 blocks off the center of town, makes it an easy stroll to beaches, bakeries, cafes, shops, and grocery stores. The apartment is spotless and newly constructed with high-quality materials. It is also well stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We appreciated the air conditioning some afternoons in the July heat, but the home has a lovely sea view and benefits from nice breezes. We spent our evenings on the private patio. The hosts are very helpful and will provide more information about nearby attractions. We love Karystos because it's a working village but has nice beaches with beautiful clear water. Of course, there are also many great places to eat. We would highly recommend a stay. It's even nicer than the pictures.
Meine Schwester und ich waren im April in Karystos, zur Zeit des griechischen Osterfestes. Ein wunderbarer kleiner Fischer-Ort, von Touristen noch nicht überschwemmt. Mit hübschen Cafes und Restaurants, wo wir wunderbar gegessen haben, vor allem natürlich Fischspezialitäten. Karystos lädt zu ausgiebigen Spaziergänge, aber auch für Radtouren regelrecht ein. Man sollte allerdings keine Katzenphobie haben ... Im Appartement selbst fehlte es uns an nichts (großes Wort, ich weiß). 2 getrennte Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder und ein großer gemütlich eingerichteter Wohnraum. Dazu eine riesige Terrasse mit Sonnen-Liegen. Eine gut eingerichtete Küche für Selbstversorger (es gibt tolle Geschäfte für frische Waren aller Art), WLAN (über Starlink). Ein moderner Flachbild-Fernseher mit zahllosen Apps hilft über wettermäßig vielleicht nicht so schöne Tage hinweg. Die sehr freundlichen und kompetenten Gastgeber stehen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Ich kann einen Aufenthalt im Amalia House nur wärmstens empfehlen und werde bestimmt selbst wiederkommen. Das Meer ist für einen normal schnell gehenden Fußgänger gute fünf Minuten entfernt, "unser" Strand 8 Minuten.
Honestly one of the best places I’ve stayed in Europe. Brand new build so everything is modern and gorgeous but it still feels really warm and homey. I’ve been in both January and June and it works perfectly both times. The fireplace in winter is amazing and in summer it’s so airy and cool with fans + aircon for the hot days. Karystos is a hidden gem and having this place as your base makes it so special.
