Enjoy a holiday together whilst still having space to yourselves: the Amalia House in Karystos combines three self-contained holiday flats in a lovingly restored stone house. In a quiet side street near Amalia- Square, you’ll be staying right in the heart of the village, with beaches, the harbour, restaurants and shops all within easy walking distance.
The holiday home in southern-Euboea (Evia), Greece, can accommodate up to eleven guests in total. You can book the apartments individually or the whole house together – for a holiday as a couple, with the family or with a larger group.
Three holiday flats to suit different needs
At Amalia House, there are three fully equipped accommodation options to choose from:
- Amalia Garden Apartment: Ground-floor holiday flat for 2–3 people with a separate bedroom, a living room with a sofa bed, a bathroom and a terrace with direct access to the garden.
- Amalia Beletage: Upstairs holiday flat for up to 4 people with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large terrace opening onto the garden.
- Amalia Penthouse: Holiday flat for up to 4 people with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large terrace with sea views and a smaller terrace with mountain views.
Each flat has its own fully equipped kitchen, a living area and private bathrooms. There are five separate bedrooms and five bathrooms in total; the eleventh sleeping space is on the daybed in the Garden Apartment.
Travelling together, living independently
The layout, comprising three flats, is ideal for multi-generational families, couples who are friends and small groups. You can spend your holiday together whilst still being able to retreat to your own flat whenever you like.
Even when booking the whole house, the three kitchens and living areas can still be used independently of one another. This makes it easy to accommodate different daily routines, mealtimes and the need for quiet.
Historic stone house with garden and terraces
The Amalia House combines the character of an old stone-built house with modern facilities. The self-contained flats offer space for cooking, socialising and relaxing – even during a longer stay.
Depending on the flat, you can enjoy direct access to the garden, a large terrace overlooking the garden, or views of the sea and mountains. The outdoor areas are perfect for al fresco breakfasts, a spot of reading or a relaxing end to the day.
Discover Karystos on foot
Bakeries, cafés and shops are just a few minutes’ walk away. There are restaurants at the harbour, and several of Karystos’ beaches are within walking distance. You can leave the car at home for days at the beach, restaurant visits and your daily shopping.
Karystos is situated in the south of the island of Euboea, also known as Evia. Here, harbour life and beaches meet the mountainous landscape of southern-Euboea. At Amalia House, you’ll enjoy a central yet peaceful stay –, with the town just a short walk away and your own private retreat after a day out and about.
- 5 bedrooms: 2 penthouses, 2 ground-floor flats, 1 garden flat.
- 5 bathrooms: Each flat has a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom; the penthouse and the bel étage also have a second full bathroom, which can also be used as a guest bathroom.
- 3 AC: Each flat is equipped with a sufficiently powerful air-conditioning system that can keep the room pleasantly cool even on the hottest summer days.

Amalia is perfectly located. Only one hundred meters to reach shops, restaurant and sea side. The building was really well refurbished with high quality items. The kitchen fully equipped. Beds are top confortable. The garden is wonderfully perfumed by the night blossoms. Philip is a nice host. An excellent spot to discover Karistos. I don't find any bad to say!
Really nice, modern apartment with all the amenities. Amazing view, very close to Karystos port. Philip is incredibly welcoming and give us many information. Just a heads up, there is an outdoor confortable spiral staircase to reach the apartment on 2nd & 3rd floor.
A very pleasant vacation spent on Evia with my family this summer! Liked · Location is very nice. I've spent there 8 nights with my family and everything was very nice an pleasant. When we arrived we were greeted by the host, a very nice person that explained everything about the property and surrounding locations. The property is very well equipped (all kitchen required items, dishwasher, full electric oven, laundry washing machine and dryer). Everything was in very good condition and we were very well impressed about the cleanliness. The location is in a quiet street but very close to town center and port areas. There are a lot of stores, groceries around. The owner helped us buying some olive oil from local farmers. Overall it was a very pleasant stay for us. We felt at home... Thank you for the very good experience and hope we meet again soon!
